The 2-Step Success Formula For Developing Persistence & Success In Your Business.

It is hard to over-emphasize the power of persistence in business
success, or any other type of success for that matter.

Persistence is often the single factor that takes people to the
top. It can beat talent, intelligence, and even business contacts
and good initial funding for a business idea.

But how do you develop persistence? How do you stick to a
home business idea until it bears fruit? How do you continue
slamming away at the same thing, even through the hard times,
when it is all too easy to give up and move onto apparently more
fruitful pastures?

The answer is that your business should be based on (a) something
you love to do, and (b) something that you have a natural
strength or talent for. This is the only way that you will be
able to sustain your interest through good times and bad. If you
try to base a home business on anything else, you will NOT be
fortified to face the difficulties and challenges that will
surely lie ahead.

Please note that this is a great reason why so many people who
take up business opportunities PURELY to make money, fail at it.
The classic example is MLM. Why do so many people fail at it? The
answer is that they took it up in the first place, primarily to
make money, and then self-justified later on that the products
were “great” or “high quality”.

However, there was no passion for it, no burning obsession, to
begin with. So, when times get tough (as they ALWAYS will,
especially at the outset), the natural tendency is to give up and
try something else. And, of course, if the two criteria above are
not applied there either, failure will ensue once more. In fact,
it’s practically guaranteed.

If you do something just for money, as so many people do, you set
yourself up for failure to start with. After all, in what way
are you going to distinguish yourself from the millions of others
who start a home based business with the same idea? What makes
YOU so special that anyone should care?

Also, please note that a lot of people will teach (a), but
neglect to mention (b). Sure, they say “do what you love and the
money will follow”. However, you may be a passionate Tennis
player, but absolutely no good at it. You may be passionate about
analyzing stock charts, but no good at trading them. So how can
you expect to succeed by creating a business around it?

The truth is that you must have the passion, but you must
ALSO have strengths in that area. So, before starting a home
business
(or if you are in one, and wondering why you are going
nowhere), you need to take a firm inventory of your passions AND
strengths.

Where do the two meet? THAT is the place where you will find a
powerful home business opportunity that you can both create and
sustain.

Moreover, it will be far easier to develop and maintain
persistence when you are both passionate about the subject AND
also have superior strengths in that area.

Do not underestimate the power of this simple two-step formula.
It would be fair to say that the vast majority of businesses fail
because they were NOT based upon these two simple principles.
Hence, the home business owner was unable to ever develop any
grit and persistence, because his/her heart was not in it and it
was not something that he/she had any deep interest in it to
begin with.

At the end of the day, you are going to spending a LOT of your
time working on your business. Hence, doesn’t it make sense to
choose something you WANT to do over the long time, versus
something you have little or no interest in, but are just doing
to make a fast buck?

Life is about having a vision and benefiting people through the
business you create. So, create that business through (a) basing
it upon what you are passionate about, AND (b) what you have
natural strengths in. In that way, you will be motivated to
succeed, and be able to apply the necessary persistence to do
so.

You will enrich the world with your products and services, and
the world will enrich you greatly in return.
